I'm going to Victoria next weekend. Any recommendations about bike rental? I'm staying near Coho landing. Of course I'll make a trip by MEC. Regret to say, they've become my favourite outdoor co-op. Best

FYI Everything that you flush goes straight out into the bay. down.gif Won't be visiting Victoria until they clean up their act. Consider staying somewhere out of town and let them know why.

You are not alone. I have taken the same stance.

As if our act is clean. We bag dog poop and leave the poop bags along the trails.... Back on topic, bring a bike over there on the ferry? I've heard gardens over there are amazing. up.gif

What if I promise not to use the restroom for four days? Back to bicycles.

With the Lochside and Golden Goose regional trails, Victoria is a great biking city. I can't recommend any particular shop to rent a bike, but a Google search shows several including this one near the ferry terminal. https://victoria.cyclebc.ca/bicycles

34 million gallons of raw sewage into the Strait every day is a lot of bags.

We ended up using The Peddler, on Belleville. Main draw was proximity. Bikes in good shape, helmets not gross. Basket to put things in. While admiring small cottage, owner came out. He invited us in for a tour. Turns out was the summer out-of-town waterfront home owned by Emily Carr's parents. Of course it was only a few miles from the family home. And I still do like MEC. In particular they have a huge collection of day packs.
