Here's a little excitement for you. Lots of information here in this video. Or you can cut to the chase at minute 25:30. SpaceX sent a resupply ship to the International Space Station yesterday. One of their experiments was to land the booster rocket on a drone ship in the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Canaveral on its return. They have video of the landing. Pretty amazing stuff. This video appeared in yesterday's The Stranger online blog article. Enjoy, ~z

interesting irony of landing a pointy rocket tail first, back in the 40's/50's buck rogers/flash gordon were doing it all the time. nasa lands the shuttle like a plane. no one yet lands a space vehicle like a helicopter/saucer.
