It's been over 5 months since my last visit to Rainier this season. It's nice not to worry about the gate open/close time much, it was open 8am-9pm! We left the Nisq bridge and skinned the creek bed to the East edge of the park at ~5300'.
We then followed the edge of the moraine joining the path from Paradise, saw a climbing party of four. We stopped around 9000' started skiing shortly before 5pm, it must be Spring!
We skied toward the Park, then crossed a ridge to ski the East bowl (one you see from a view point on the other side).
The snow had cooled off by then, and skiing was good all the way down to the creek bed, and a quick ski out to the bridge. Great ski day! More pics here.

Not sure if you guys were this high, but this is looking directly across from Pano Point. May be your party? https://www.instagram.com/p/BEDE7N9x9kw/?taken-by=bradleycastaneda

Yes, we did cross that slope when thin clouds were blowing over. There was another group of four ahead of us, but they were split there some crossing on the ridge top. Those three figures were most likely us. Kinda nice to see ourselves in a bigger context. Thanks for posting.
