It makes me wonder why I should care about the historic significance of the fire lookouts.

Oh Pilot of the storm who leaves no trace Like thoughts inside a dream Heed the path that led me to that place Yellow desert stream.

It's about the history of forestry. Today they use more aircraft for spotting fire. I believe that children should be taught about the historic fire lookouts in the mountains.
