I like my little Hi-Lo. But Airatreams from their first decade of manufacture are still on the road.

I finally made a purchase of one last fall. We rented one of these to try it out:
It's an old trailer built by U-Haul very similar to small Scamps and Casitas. It was too cramped for me - the bed was impossibly short and I had to crouch over considerably inside. We pondered a Happier Camper for a while but it was expensive for what you get and, though it would solve the short bed problem, the headroom was still an issue. We also pondered a new T@B but the bed was also too small. Really nice interior, though, with all the bells and whistles. Reasonably priced and not too heavy. I ended up with a barely used A-Liner Classic:
With the off-road package it's only 1600 lbs and has generous clearance. I can stand up in it and it has a queen bed.

Schroder's former orange trailer wins the cuteness prize (sorry, tw). I've noted many of the smaller trailers don't even make 6 feet in interior height. So that's an important consideration if you're taller. And yeah, those beds. Tiny trailers with tiny beds. There's a reason why a lot of the marketing materials for the small trailers picture young couples who look like they're still in the early stages of lust (...er, love).

The Orange one looks like a Boler, a Canadian Classic. They were originally made by a company that made fiberglass septic tanks. Very cute but to bad if you are over 5'.

U Hauls are rare and coveted. My trailer has a "trolley car" roof that allows tall people to stand up and walk down the center until they hit their head on the air conditioner or top of bathroom or main door. I have hit my head many times while exiting the trailer and I am short. Fortunately, the top of the doorway is padded a bit. The padding is a standard feature. I think most Casitas have air conditioners because they must be brought back from the bowels of Texas. It comes in handy for the dog if I go kayaking and it is hot at Banks Lake and the AC also works as a heater. Plug in power is needed for either. I had to carry a stool to reach the fan controls or open the ceiling vent in my A-frame trailer. I did not like that.

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human末animals and aliens are great possibilities

I think this is the coolest trailer ever! Meet George Jetson--His boy Elroy and so forth. Only it wouldn't need tires if in the cartoon. Coolest Trailer Ever

I have a TC Teardrop 5x10 ORE arriving tomorrow. We are living in Durango, CO nowadays and will be headed over to Cedar Mesa and the Moab area in mid March to take it on its maiden voyage. Here is a link to a lot of the smaller expedition type trailers that helped me get a handle on the market. http://www.theadventureportal.com/off-road-trailer-buyers-guide-2015-2016/ http://www.tcteardrops.com/off-road-pkg

omg, what an amazing website. Who knew there were so many tiny trailers. They don't all qualify as cute - although that TC Teardrop does. Some of them look like Mr. MacGyver helped with the design. It seems small trailers are quite a cottage industry.

Intentional or not, that is pretty good!

Ha, totally unintentional. I had to think about what you meant for a couple of seconds. Good one, Schenk.

And there are plans and kits and even a kit from a boat kit company so you can build your own. Some people have built small travel trailers out of foam panels. They call them foamies. Lots of ideas and good imaginations at work out dere. I think I have what I need though.
