I hike P 500 road (6126 RD)) out of Granite Falls a lot. I go all the way to where the bridge is washed out - about 8 miles. if I cross there, how far to Spada Lake? I think about 4 miles or so... I have been googling about Spada Lake and am confused about access, What is the access like from Sultan Basin area?

They opened the gate at Olney Pass a few days ago. See this TR: https://www.nwhikers.net/forums/viewtopic.php?p=1153572#1153572 It used to be 14 miles from Menzel Lake Road to drive to the dam.

Thank you! 14 miles - I am thinking about doing that at some point. Thanks for clarifying the road access. In my internet searches, must reports I get are from years ago and I was not certain what kind of access there is. It seems like there have been periods of time where there was no road access at all.
