I am selling the Tarptent Stratoapire 1 that I got on here from Opus about 2 years ago. Packs small, is lightweight, and has a lot of usable tent and vestibule space.
I have really dialed in my gear preferences since getting into backpacking and now prefer a freestanding tent instead. Opus used it to thru hike the PCT and it is still in good condition. I do think one of the two way zippers on one of the doors is off track though. The inner netting has a couple of moor pulls, and the drawstring channel on the stuff sack is a bit unraveled.
I only used it twice, but it has many nights of use left in it - I am looking for $100. Let me know if you have questions.
Happy hiking.
It's a good setup! Hopefully someone snags it. It can also be sent back to Tarptent for minor repairs. They don't usually charge for anything but shipping.
Does anyone know how well the waterproofing of the rainfly material would be after all that time in the sun, etc? It sounds like it still has structural integrity but I wonder if it would leak or whether reapplying seam sealer would make it good as new (or almost).
I unfortunately can't speak to its waterproofness but it doesn't seem to have suffered any other negative effects from PCT use. A fresh application of seam sealer shouldn't hurt
