Hey all,
I'm planning a skyline+bailey double header, starting the last week in august. I have way more than enough time set aside for the logistical challenges of getting my truck from the TH. I wanted to drop a line here in case there are any folks that might need an excuse to get their gas and lunch paid for by helping a mid-thirties dude get from PA to Quinault, or even my exit TH to Quinault. At this point I plan to get a room in PA and eat junk food until i regret it, but I will have the means to communicate out there in case there's a particularly friendly angel willing to rendezvous at one of the TH's on the north end.
PM me if you're down!
Also, curious about the bug situation up there, and Olympus conditions for east peak.

Try the bus lines if no one offers to drive you.

Years ago I did a similar route, involving leaving a car in PA, busing (and an overnight) to Forks and then busing to Amanda Park. . . which can continue on to the Quinault ranger station. . . and then hitchhiking to the TH. Upon leaving, we hitched back to PA.
Good luck on a ride - it was a lot of logistics!

I'm in Shelton and can get you to quinualt maybe.. there are many bus options on the penninsula too. Best bet might be to bus and then hitchhike.

thanks for the offer RR!
I ended up looping back to my truck from LD. 17mi day tanked me. I had lost my sun protection on day one, so I was way too exposed. Plus my GPS completely failed, and 15 days of food weighs too much to still have fun SURPRISE!
Anyway I spent 8 days on the skyline with two at high camp during a rain storm. It was definitely fulfilling.
I learned when I got back that the baileys were in for some poor weather, so couple that with my kaput GPS - I made a good call.
