Did Vie Mtn in the southern Sawtooths recently, and found what appears to be old lookout debris on the summit.

Anyone know the history of this?  Vie is a rarely scrambled peak, and the trail that used to wrap around the south slopes of Ferry and north thru the Ferry/Vie saddle is mostly gone, as is the lookout trail.  Seems it's been a long time since there was a working lookout up there.

Thanks guys.  Seemed like a rather remote and obscure place for a lookout.

It looked just like Mebee Pass LO. But that sort of figures, doesn't it, since both were L-5s.   winksmile.gif
