I also 2nd the idea to look on eastside. Coles Corner, Plain, 11worth.
I lived in 11worth one winter & worked at Stevens. The commute was ~30 minutes, and rarely closed from that side.
Folks- I can also vouch for Fletcher. I've know him since he was a small tot. He's a good guy.

I found a cheap room to rent in Plain. Sadly, I haven't heard back on the job yet, but hopefully I will sometime this week! And thanks for the endorsement Elle, that's really nice if you!
