Went out with Greg, Yvonne, and Jerry.
Did peak 5650 which is west of Lake Janus. Started out raining. Continued raining. And ended raining. The only time it did not rain was on the summit when it was snowing....there were some minor views....Snowing elevation was around 5000 feet.
The interesting thing we found was an old section of the PCT. The current PCT has been rerouted on the eastern side of point 5650. The old PCT section is there, and starts about 20 paces before reaching the saddle from the Lake Janus side. The trail is on the left (west side) and goes up to 5400 feet through a meadow before traversing below 5650 and then back down to the saddle north of 5650.
