I am looking grab a decent point and shoot camera for taking pictures of mountains. I'm looking for something with a good zoom that delivers a sharp picture. Again my price point is less than 200 dollars. Any recommendations?
Usually there are other unstated requirements like touch screen, battery type, etc, but going just on your <$200 criteria I'll recommend a camera by Panasonic because I know that brand of cameras well. It came out 2 years ago which is part of the reason for the lower price point.

Almost any digital camera these days takes good photos, so "which camera is good" depends on what constraints you put on it. For me, the main requirement is a fast lens (around f1.4) so I can take hand held photos at low light levels often found in deep forest. The camera above doesn't even come close to that.
If you're planning to use the camera on multi-day outings, be sure and get something that allows for swapping out the battery and memory card. Some cheaper cameras have a fixed battery, or use heavy standard disposable batteries. I prefer re-chargeable lithium ion batteries, and SD format memory cards.
