It was perched on a large branch bathing in the late afternoon sun. As I approached closer, it got nervous and climbed down. Forgive the poor quality images. I didn't have my camera

That's pretty cool. I've never seen one in person, where were you?

Cool! I've been fortunate to see bobcats a few times and even a lynx once.

We had a mom and two cubs in our backyard a few years ago. They were hanging out in Squak Mtn State Park.

I was fortunate enough to see a lynx up close one time. A group from this site were approaching Lennox Mtn when it came prancing down the road towards us. We saw it before it noticed us, which I'd assume is almost impossible. Probably the coolest wildlife sighting I'll ever have.

I had one run across my driveway out near cottage lake. It was about 2 weeks after we moved into our home there so I took it as a very good sign I'd made a good choice in the home we'd purchased.

I've seen about five or six Bobcats in the wild. Most recently in Mission Creek about two summer ago while riding my bike. I've also seen one on Seven Fingered Jack right below the summit block. Seen three Cougars (two side-by-side above Cliffdell on HWY410), and one in #2 Canyon this past September. Also I've heard several cougars screaming - one in Cody, WY while ice climbing, and one up by the Pass above Cub Lake on Dome Peak. Sounded like a witch in heat. Always neat to see a wild cat. Spooky when you can only hear one. Spookier yet when you can't see or hear one, but you see their fresh tracks over yours.

I've seen bobcats multiple times right outside my kitchen window...in Bellevue. Never in the wild.

Cool! Seen two in the past few years. One was back near Hancock Lake. (didn't have camera out) Another was in the driveway of a rental house in Tucson this winter. (was in kitchen, camera was in bedroom) Maybe this is why Bigfoot never gets photographed?
