I spend alot of time surfing Google Earth Maybe I've just missed it, but this is the first time I've seen one of our forest fires on Google Earth images
Some of the newest imagery of the entire state of Washington on that area. August 2016. Even more recent than anything from downtown Seattle or Bellevue. But for example, the same date as Diablo Lake Wonder how and when they decide to stitch new imagery in? I actually see some lakes I've never seen before or knew existed on older images. Covered in snow or glaciers Anyway, I thought it was interesting.

Experience is what'cha get, when you get what'cha don't want

Was not long after (sorry do not remember exactly how long after) that the Table Mountain and fires in the Methow and Okanogan showed up. Table Mountain was 2012.

How many people opened the image above then tried to move it to see a different area?

I know the Godkin Fire is visibly burning on Google Earth, I'd have to check the other ONP fires from last year.

NASA's Wordview lets you view images from every day of the year which can be fun. The images aren't as high-res as Google's stuff but are every day and let you flip back and and forth.

There used to be a photo of heavy smoke just east of Pasayten International Airport 😄. And someone had a photo of a Bell JetRanger sitting on the old airstrip.

Keep Calm and Carry On? Heck No. Stay Excited and Get Outside!
