Tom, were you using uBlock or uBlock Origin? They're two totally different extensions. With Origin, you just need to click on the icon and click the big fat power button to toggle blocking on the current site. It's just as friendly as ABP is/was.

I was using uBlock Origin. That big button only disables the extension for the website you are visiting. It does not disable the extension. I often want to disable the extension when using a cash back shopping portal which may require the adblocker to be disabled over multiple domains. Adblock provides an easy way to do this (disable everywhere). uBlock Origin does not.

Ah, okay I guess that makes sense then. You can make a custom whitelist too, but whatever suits your needs.
