I try to go up there every Spring in recent years, but it's not always easy to find willing companions especially after their 1st trip. The infamous fisherman's trail is still there and decent shape, but not too hard to wonder off. More skiers should visit there to make it into a nice skiers trail. As it is, those skis on one's pack encourages some yoga moves over fallen logs, etc.
The TH is about 2100', we started skinning at around 3400' and topped out at 6550'. The views were spectacular as usual all around. The snow seemed stable and no huge cornices overlooking us.

The Bedal summit offers one of the best view of Sloan as well as many peaks along the Mtn loop highway.
Dang, that looks great! From what I saw up around Stevens Friday I also thought it would have been funky snow. Goodonya for getting out there and finding the goods - "You never know until you go." Love those views
