Does anybody know A.)What timber company owns the land on the north side of the lake? B.) Are there any trails up there, and if so is there a known trail map out there somewhere? I'm referring to the lake north of Hwy 8 and west of Hwy 101, just west of Olympia. Thanks,

Yes I have a trail map, A super nice topo. The only glitch is the land owner (Green Diamond) doesn't want us to publish or share. It has to do with the salmon bearing creek and streams into it. "Us" being Oakland Bay chapter of BCHW. We built the trails in there. I'd suggest hiking the road (since you can't drive it). Where the trails take off will be rather obvious. The main road does a loop.

The map doesn't seem to go close to Summit Lake. Is that land just on the north side of the lake (behind the houses) just not a part of their recreation area?

Kennedy Creek Falls is the normal focal point for trips. It's one of a whole series of similar basalt falls to the east, and then around south to Mima Falls, on the SE corner of the Black Hills. A few elk, deer, and bear. To my knowledge the farthest NW flocks of introduced turkeys in WA. Are any farther out on the Peninsula? I wouldn't know which specie turkey. Best.

Old map somewhat out of date. So much for the land owner's request.
