I absolutely love this short hike.
Not a secret but for some reason goes ignored. Not sure why.
Bigger game to bag in the area I guess.
Sprite lake is more of a glorified pond, but it's a beauty set into a beautiful landscape.
I've mentioned before that this destination reminds me of a mini Lake Ingalls
I'll continue to visit this area for many years to come.
Snow travel was excellent. Crampons and hiking poles. Solid snow starting at 5,500'
Weather was fantastic. No wind
It's always cool to see a bear. I was expecting / hoping for some goats, but a pleasant surprise when I crested the saddle above Sprite Lake to see a bear on it's beautiful turquoise color shore.
Seemed so out of place
Views were fantastic. Snow was so pleasant to travel on, we spent 2 1/2 hours wandering and relaxing in the area
We saw another bear on the small summit snow ridge on the left. It was moving to the right into the trees. Gone before I could capture a image
