I've attached a link to my full and complete report with pictures, but in short:
-This is an incredibly beautiful hike.
-The road is so much better.
-The trail is snow free except for the last 0.4 miles which has some intermittent snow and one extended field, both passable, microspikes may be helpful but were not necessary.
-Due to time, energy, and snow reports we did not make it to the Upper Basin.
-I was able to jump into the lake for about thirty seconds.

Very nice HT! Were the bugs bad at all while you were there? Also, can you post some of the photos here too?
