We use to carry bear spray until this happened: My husband and I were strolling down a trail. Out of nowhere a large breed very aggressive looking dog came running out of the trees straight at us. I grabbed the bear spray and proceeded to accidently spray my husband straight in the face . Husband now is blinded and I have to hold his hand all the way out of the trail. I am now completely banned from being anywhere near bear spray by my forgiving sweetie. Oh a little side note. Dog happily ran by us with no problems, shortly after owner of dog ran by in hot pursuit. We have encountered several bears. Usually the backside of them running as fast as they can away from us.
