Weyerhaeuser has closed the lower, East, end of Nason Ridge as they prepare to clear cut the ridge above Lake Wenatchee State Park, thru the lower sections of the Nason Ridge Trail. The Lake Wenatchee Community is fighting this logging effort and is prepared to negotiate a purchase or a conservation easement. We need WeyCo to come to the table. That sucks. I was just up there a few weeks back and saw a lot of new "activity". Is Big Red going to make it?

'Big Red" is in the Forest Service section adjacent to the WeyCo cut so it is not an issue, could be ugly to get there if the mile preceding it is in the middle of a clear cut.
