Im planning a trip with some friends and was wondering if anyone knows of a hike that might end at a cabin or perhaps even a cabin for rent that has some good hikes around it. Im looking for something to use as a base for some day hikes that we could use to hang out at in the evenings. Thanks in advance for any input!

A lot of fire lookouts sit on the tops of mountains and can be slept in. I think some are open to all and others can be reserved, but I've never done it and don't know the details. There are several FS Guard Stations that can be rented for exclusive use. I stayed at the Teanaway Guard Station one winter, it was nice. If you include skiing or snowshoeing, there are the Rendezvous Huts in Mazama:

The MTTA is a good resource. You can snowshoe up to one of their huts and hang out or even rent it for overnight use. Here is a link for all their info: https://skimtta.org/

A new Peterson Prairie cabin is about to open. Look at the GPNF website.

Is this for now (winter) or in the summer?

Consider the yurts and rustic cabins available for rent at many Washington and Oregon State Parks. Equipped with lights and electricity. Bring your own bedding. No cooking indoors, although boiling water with an electric kettle is fine. Especially good for winter "camping".
