Friends of Scothman Peaks have been trying to discourage this nutty behavior. Signs. And I met volunteers chatting with hikers last year.
But I guess the cute factor kicks in.

Did you read the comments on the article? The only Big Concern is that someone was whining that the pics used didn't have her authorization to use. I think they pulled down the original pics that were in the article.
REALLY? that is her concern.

Years ago a goat licked the nape of my friend's neck as she belayed me on the first pitched of SEWS. It was unwanted contact and she asked me to get to a safe place so she could shoo away the goat.
