ive been doing just day hikes all year and will probably keep it that way. I usually get real early starts. I was thinking maybe merchant peak or somewhere on Rainier this weekend. I go pretty hard so its hard to find others. im definitely not the fastest but I cover a good distance and elevation on all hikes. looking for class 3 scrambles mostly, anywhere from 5 miles to 25 miles, and atleast 3500ft of elevation gain. been peak baggin mostly this year: mt Washington, mt ruth, tokaloo rock, dragontail peak, mt Daniel attempt twice, ruth mountain,etc.. im 30 years old, ex-army ranger, true love for the mountains, chill easy goin, 420 friendly, etc..

By any chance were you in the Holden area July 4th? Don't know your availability, but I'm lookimng for a partner to tag Cardinal, Emerald, Saska & Pinnacle this Thursday, Aug 3 through Saturday, Aug. 5. They are a group of Bulger Peaks out in the Entiat area that can be scrambled in 3 days now that the road leading to the TH is open.

Yeah just don't screw your knee up
Ozzy I suppose I could be open for a few weekends in the future. Had my eye on a 2 day jack mountain trip maybe. Also probably not the fastest, but the legs take me where I want to go most of the time

Looking for a winter hiking partner. Male early 30s, moderate to strenuous, mountaineering ambitions for next summer but limited technical skill yet. Anyone interested in scoping out some safe winter scrambling day hikes?
