Since the M’s aren’t in it I’m going to cheer for the Red Sox. The M’s are the bbbbbbeeeeesssssttttt but since I’m a mariners fan I get to have a “second favorite team” and that’s the Red Sox. Mariners #1! Yay. Goooooooooooo M’s!

Go Yankees! rocker.gif

Go placidly amid the noise and waste, and remember what comfort there may be in owning a piece thereof.

Having a second favorite team is swell. That’s what’s so great about being a M’s fan. You can have two teams. Here’s to our culture! M’s are the best. Yay M’s!!!!

I've always been a Tribe fan, grew up watching a few games (mostly losses) each year at the old Muni stadium. And I'm well aware of the Curse of Rocky Colavito. ROLL TRIBE!

That’s swell that you guys like the Tribe. They’re great, just like the Mariners. They’re my 5th favorite team. That’s the best part about being a M’s fan. You can be a fan of everyone! I’ll be cheering for the Yankees in that series. Although the Sox are my second favorite team (mariners #1!!!) I think rivalries are important. As a mariners fan I don’t totally get what a rivalry is. I think I’m supposed hate the Athletics or something but I don’t. They’re my 11th favorite team! Anyway, I am going to root for the Yankees in the hopes that they’ll face the Red Sox in the AL championship. Go Red Sox! Go Yankees! Yay Mariners!!!!! True to the Blue!!!!!!

Yeah! I was also questioning the decision to put Kipnis in center, and then he makes that spectacular catch. Turns out Tito was a genius like we always knew.

Well my second favorite team lost. Darn it! It’s okay though because the Astros are really my third favorite team. Mariners first. Then the Red Sox then the Astros. Mariners are the best though. True to the Blue! I don’t think I can root for the Yankees now. I hate them. Plus it’s fun to say, “The tribe” when referring to the Indians. It’s like you’re part of a secret club with secret language. I love secret stuff. Hey - did you know the Astros used to be in the national league? I was thinking that maybe the Mariners could do that. I don’t think anyone would notice plus maybe we’d get to see King Felix bat. He’s the best. I like how he wears his hat sideways like a gangster. He doesn’t look like a baseball player but he’s the king I think he’s great. Some day I’d like to sit in the King’s court. You can cheer without the scoreboard telling you to, which is something I’ve never done at The Safe. Yay. Go Mariners!!!!

Layback is clearly attempting humor of some kind, but I don't get it.

I would assume that he's just trying to stay on offense (pun intended), before someone pokes fun at how the Red Sox got taken behind the woodshed by the Astros. Under normal circumstances I would commiserate with him at his disappointment, but Red Sox fans... rolleyes.gif

Yeah I was torn about that series. On the one hand, I'd rather the Red Sox win because the Astros are much scarier. On the other hand, that would bring joy to the massholes. Anyway, one step at a time, gotta put away the Yankees first...

Gosh golly darn it!!!!! My 5th favorite team just lost too. It’s okay though because the Astros are secretly my 8th favorite team. They were my 3rd favorite NL team but when they moved to the American League they became my 8th favorite Team and my 4th favorite AL team. So I guess I’ll be rooting for them now. If the mariners move to the NL, or even the minor leagues, they’ll still be my favorite team. That’s because they’re the best. And they have a boomstick and king Felix. Yay! Go mariners! True to the Blue!
