We went looking for sun today and found it over in Chelan. Quite a contrast from the SNOW and rain we had in Easton on Saturday.
Chelan Butte is a pretty basic hike but it has some great views of the lake. If you stick to the standard trail it's about 8 miles and 2,700 ft. However, there is a direct trail without switchbacks that shaves almost 1.5 miles off the trip. We took the longer, switchbacked trail up and the more direct trail down.
Conditions were mostly clear but very windy near the summit. The trail was dry and snow free until about 500 feet from the summit. At that point there was a light dusting of snow.
