My limited forays in the MT Bitterroots included a rambling hike partway up Blodgett Canyon and a trip to the summit of Trapper. The view from the top was tantalizing! Ridges, peaks and valleys surrounding me. I've always wanted to go back and explore more, but haven't done it yet. I was particularly intrigued looking towards El Capitan, the Bachelor and the Como Peaks, which I believe can be accessed from Kerlee Lake trail.

I highly recommend the Wallowas / Eagle Cap Wilderness in North-East Oregon. There are tons of 9000 ft peaks, alpine lakes, wildflowers, etc. We basically did the Wallowa River Loop from Douglas Lorain's Backpacking Oregon. It was a great trip. Here are my photos from a few years ago. https://www.flickr.com/photos/66865361@N03/albums/72157656171317818 I'm also thinking about exploring Idaho this summer. Thanks for all the suggestions.
