The backpacking trip guides section is outstanding. The quality is that of a Mountaineers publication (and I consider the Mountaineers to be the premier outdoor book publisher). I appreciate all the details, and while you have worthwhile prose, you generally let your outstanding pictures do the talking. The combination of excellent maps, elevation profile and easy-to-read itinerary are really appealing. It reads as a suggestion, as opposed to a formula for a backpacking trip, making it all the more valuable. Unlike a day hike, a backpack trip is a lot more varied (everyone has their own style) and those guides make it easy to come up with a very good trip and a reasonable expectations of how it will work out (weather permitting). Well done.
