hey folks, A friend from Ohio is hoping to get permits for Zion in May. Since those can be hard to obtain, he's working on back-up plans and asked me about a trip further west. He specifically asked me how much snow I think will be on the Three Sisters Loop and the Timberline Trail on Hood. I haven't been on either trail but by looking at elevations I'm guessing potentially a lot of snow. Would you add/alter that answer at all? Thanks!

Yes, would expect there to be a lot of snow in May for either of those possibilities. Normally the Columbia River Gorge area would give you lots of good options in May, but currently the majority of the trail system is closed due to a massive wild fire last summer.
