Y'all seem to be on the right track and in good humor. We take enough risks. Why increase the risk of being smote by lightning?

I should think that Gaia? would be mentioned on this site.
What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human––animals and aliens are great possibilities

Bernardo...You likely don't realize that you are offending some people when you too use the Lo-d's name irreverently (profanely). It is very common in the Jewish community to avoid writing the name in script also. The word Lo-d or G-d is hyphenated when writing and only spoken when in prayer or liturgy. When talking about G-d in speech the phrase HaShem is used. HaShem means "the name" and refers to the YHVH that has been mentioned. No one knows how YHVH was pronounced. That name was only spoken once a year on Yom Kippur by the High Priest in the Holy of Holies. Are you willing to write about the Lo-d and G-d so as not to offend others?

My message was a request to show respect for others' religious views. I'm all for that.

But what is the real point of your question?

In China, they've just outlawed the letter "n". Think about that!
The whole damn alphabet is gonna disappear if we don't get this under control.

Hopi mythical Gods and creatures - they like to have a good time in celebrating their religion and myth! A great read is Harold Courlander's Fourth World of the Hopi.

But the Flying Spaghetti Monster is everywhere, and we still don't know his/her/it's name!

Not true:
Quote: | Although the Flying Spaghetti Monster does in fact have a True Name, it is so beautiful and so difficult to pronounce by humans that it kills not only whoever attempts to utter it, but also everyone within 3.7614 miles (6.0534 kilometers)—this radius is doubled when one attempts to write or type His name. This was done purposely by the Flying Spaghetti Monster not only to amuse Him but to also alert the Pirates as to the presence of a mass punishment, which they are to join in on. |

Really dude, don't you have anything better to worry about?

This is pretty standard for civil discourse, but we've been falling down in this area. This applies to other religions, but I haven't seen derogatory usage. Thoughts? |
