Looking to do the traverse from the chain lakes, la bohm area over to circle lake passing the lakes in the title. Has anyone done this traverse in full or in part that can give me any info. Probably go in late August as a solo or very small group

I've done it, as have several other NWHikers. We've also done Circle>Venus>over Hinman>La Bohn Lakes and beyond, and a bunch of other routes in the area. PM me for info

Been there a couple times. Nothing too harry about it. It was easier when you could drive to the Dutch Miller trail head.

I've done Squaw-Peggy's Pond-Circle-Venus-Rebecca-Rowena-Chain-Williams and out the end of the Middle Fork...before the gate.

If not now, when?

Looking more at what I want to see and where I want to go, I am now looking at entering in via the Necklace Valley up to Tank Lakes, then following the shelf on the south side of La Bohm over to Chain Lakes. From there the route would be to Rowena, Rebecca, Shovel, Venus, Circle, Peggy's and out. Looking at probably taking this as a 4 day trip, but any additional help is appreciated.

That will be an awesome route! But, why rush it? I'd take a week to do it, myself. biggrin.gif

Yeah, I'd take more than 4 days/3 nights. There are few stretches of slow travel.

Shovel is pretty wild, when there's still snow there are a zillion waterfalls up on the walls around the lake.
