Trying to find out if the ford of Eureka Ck is doable right now given the big snow year we had. I've seen some trip reports from as early as late June but I have my doubts that it's possible to cross now. Please chime in if you've been up that way recently. Thanks!

I did it July 4 weekend in 2104 and had a very hard time getting across the creek. It was raging ... water up to mid-thigh. Three in my party couldn't make it. Once my partner and I were safely across ... we knew we weren't coming back that way.

Thanks for that. I'm pretty sure I'll wait on this. I saw a trip report from early July last year that stated pretty much the same. I've crossed before but in Oct when it's possible to hop across on rocks.
Eureka Creek crossing a mere rock hop in Oct

This is a pretty uncharacteristically cool and wet spring in the Methow. Lots of snow up high in the Pasayten and Chelan-Sawtooth still. I'd expect Eureka Creek won't get down to base flow until August this year.

wbeggesse, you mentioned that you crossed one way but returned another. What was your return ford like? I think Eureka Creek must be really ripping right now!
