As I was returning from Preacher mnt today, I found a fishing pole on the trail and a micro-spike.
I am pretty sure it was from the 3 guys that were at the lake when I arrived there. We talked briefly when I arrived at the lake.
The snow was patchy starting around 3,000. It made the trail easy to lose. I had the benefit of foot prints to follow though. Several feet of snow at the lake. 90% still snow covered with a tad melting on the edges and an open area at the outlet. The standard route up Preacher was in perfect form. Good step kicking and total snow coverage on the upper route, 4,300 ft and up.
Good glissading.
