Wow!! Amazing amount of ground to cover in a two-day trip - and you still had time to take beautiful pictures!

Gorgeous country! I don't think I've seen 21 bears in all my years of hiking.

10 to 1 ratio of bears to people. Not bad, not bad at all.

Great report and pictures from some of my favorite areas. Thanks for sharing. As Ian said that is a lot of ground to cover in 2 days especially with some of it being off trail. up.gif I have talked to a volunteer ranger about the route from the Skokomish River to Nine Stream Lakes and he mentioned something about some nice elk trails but I have yet to find them.

Beautiful pictures! I love the bear going over the pass and the sleepy bear on the snow. Do you run to cover so much ground and have time to see things? Or just hike long hours at a fast pace?

Excellent trip, that's quite some distance, you must have been moving at a good clip! I've been on a bit of that route XC, but the stuff you covered looks fun! The fall colors looked great, bears too!

Just watched your video and loved it! Only problem is, now I'm going to be looking for a cool video to go with all your future trip reports. biggrin.gif
