Cool up.gif Oly in a day is a ballbuster. Looks like you guys took the direct route around or across the schrund, i.e., not through Crystal Pass?

Yeah Steve. The shrund was all filled in for us, perfect condition really. That thing must be impressive when it opens up in late season!

There is a saying in 100 mile mountain runs: "It doesn't always get worse," attributed to legend David Horton. As you encountered, your long day got better. There is another saying, attributed to college students: " Sleep's over-rated." Don't know about that one. Did you guys sleep for a while before starting the long drive? I've long believed that can be the real danger after a long climb.....or maybe I'm just fully in middle age, stage 2. wheelchair.gif

Fletcher, your video sure shows some significant " blowage goin' on!" Very alpine with the clouds whipping by. The ol' timer in me is a bit concerned about you running around on that upper glacier unroped. The unwanted plunge can be unexpected. eek.gif

Sweet! Glad there is still a lot of coverage on the glacier. Been making it an annual pilgrimage with the splitboard out there last two years and can't wait to head out there again!

Love hiking and mountains!
