From KOMO-TV: MOUNT BAKER, Wash. - A Navy helicopter team rescued a critically injured climber and the climber's partner from the 8,800-foot level of Mount Baker on Sunday. The team headed out from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in the late afternoon after receiving reports of an injured climber. After arriving on scene the crew searched for about 15 minutes before finding the two climbers on a steep rock face at an elevation of about 8,800 feet. One of the climbers had a broken arm and ribs after falling about 20 feet. The Navy chopper crew crew hoisted the injured climber aboard, then the uninjured climber. They were then flown to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where the injured climber was listed in critical condition. The Navy's search-and-rescue team at Whidbey Island has conducted 22 total missions in Washington state so far this year, including 16 rescues, four searches and two medical evacuations. http://komonews.com/news/local/navy-chopper-team-rescues-critically-injured-climber-on-mount-baker
