Map : GTM - Tiffany Mountain
Another day hike with Nettie she is taking full advantage of my slowly healing calf muscle which I tore about a month ago but this was our third hike all new for her and we both enjoyed the time together.
We left from the high Freezeout TH under blue skies, 60's, and a light wind we encountered no one on Boulder Creek Rd. and saw nobody until we were back down on the Chewuch River Rd. except some cows the trail is free and clear to the summit of Tiffany and down into Whistler Basin. The terrain was green and open with an abundance of Paintbrush which were stunning while the views were expansive and we just took it all in. Very nice !
Onward !

Tiffany Pano 5
Nettie's first time up here she was OMGing the whole trip.
Now that is an expansive view.
Tiffany and Little Tiffany Lakes.
The Paintbrush were outstanding !
The ridge opens nicely from small meadows to huge meadows.
Way to get out you two. Looks just as nice up there as the time Steve and I went up with you. I didn't realize it had been that long ago. How time flies when you are having fun hiking. Too bad that area is such a long drive. I like the open country.
Those were all good trips up there I just got back from Twisp we did Copper Pass Nettie got some good trips in as I rehabed my leg I pushed her and myself I am good to go now.
Beautiful!
On September 14 , 2003 I camped on top with my brother when the Isabel Creek fire was burning. The trail wasn't closed yet, but we could see and hear trees explode into crown fires at night as we nervously watched from the top.
