Visible from Queen Anne. Looks fairly big. I’d guess in the Hamma Hamma somewhere.

It's on the map now also. Just east of the Jefferson Ridge, north of Elk Lake. It's not on InciWeb, so I don't know if it has been assigned a name. It's not in the wilderness, so I suppose they may fight it?

It seemed huge tonight at sunset, but maybe there was some California smoke mixed in as well. Strange that it is still not on InciWeb? The sun behind the layer of smoke just before sunset:

Noticed this on the ferry coming home last night. There appeared to be smoke pouring out both D valleys around Jupiter.

Hood Canal was pretty smoky yesterday around Seabeck. It is near the Hamma Hamma drainage. https://www.fs.usda.gov/alerts/olympic/alerts-notices

On Saturday (the 4th) we hiked the Jefferson Ridge Trail. After the hike we decided to do a quick short hike to lower Elk Lake which is just down the road from Jefferson Ridge. We just got a short distance down the trail when we saw smoke coming up out of the valley. We decided to turn around and report it. We were driving to find cell signal when we saw a DNR truck heading our way and waved him down. They said it was a small fire and their crew was on it. They also said it was under investigation and possibly started by a chainsaw from someone stealing firewood. They asked if we had seen any suspicious trucks with wood in the area, but we had not.
