stillaguamish 7-26-2018
quick and dirty route info: park at dickerman parking lot, hike perry creek trail leave trail at 4634', ascend easy terrain uphill to gain the climber's trail at 4775', head w on climber's trail to summit. (there are many places to leave the perry creek, including hiking it up to the intersection with the stillaguamish climber's trail at ~4980'. after doing both, i can say leaving at 4634' the best option - shorter, less gain and easy open terrain.)
ps - followed up stilli with a swim in the stilli at the bend in the river - awesome swim :>)
a bonus workout before attacking extended reverse overhang terrain in the hot sun
13.94 mi 4925' gain
4:36 car to summit
0:57 summit stay
4:28 summit to car (including 0:22 extra lunch break)
10:02 car to car
equipment: none
equipment brought, but not used:

What I remember most from our climb years ago are the loaded blueberry/huckleberry bushes along that traverse out to the peak. We could sit in one spot and fill half a quart bottle just from the branches within reach.
The summit is a fun one too!

That's a very nice, secluded, hard, hot and long hike. I really enjoyed it but not sure I will do it again. The flat summit is a bit unique, I liked sitting on the NW side with my legs hanging over the side, studying the lake down below for any fish activity. It looks like the lake (South Lake) would be pretty difficult to access, and not sure if it holds fish. Maybe someday I will attempt to find out.

Beckey's route description suggests accessing South Lake via helicopter

Lol, just prior to the east side of the mountain, it appears one could descend, possibly with a short rappel...not sure, It's been a few years since I went there.
