I took this photo from the top of Saddle Rock around 0730 am today. The airport is at the end of that main road going NE up from the river. It is directly under the thickest part of the smoke. It will probably impact a lot of the firefighting flights using that airport.
That's where the retardant flies out of, unless they changed to Moses Lake.

The planes put it out I think. There were at least four of them. We watched them the Saturday that the fire started up near Steanboat rock. There were three of them. They were trying so hard to land on Banks lake but it was just too windy. There was one of them that was trying harder than the others and I think he/she peeled off from the group to go have a run at Jaimeson lake. Least that is what I guessed. They are fantastic! I値l honk next time I go by.
