Nice video! Too bad about those bees...you never know where they are going to set up their nests. I've never wanted to cross that knife edge ridge to get to Olallie Point.
Because of that narrow spot I don't think the point is visited that often. That lets the vegetation grow undisturbed and I thought it looked like a Japanese garden with the twisted pine trees growing out of the ridge top when I did it 10 years ago.
In your video you point out or mention some spots (the sign, the narrow ridge) and I wanted you to turn the camera to see them instead of always pointing at you. But any video is a lot of work to put together and post so thanks for doing that. The real-time reaction to the bees was worth watching! Sorry for your pain.
Ugh, sorry that happened to you. They got me there, too, back in early July. I guess the warning sign I put up was taken down or blew away. They've been there at that spot all season, very aggressive. I can't imagine how many people they've hit this summer.
Thanks everyone, Yeah i realized after i didn't get a good video of the ridge which sucks. I had never heard of this hike until Friday morning so i was very happy i did it. Those bees were brutal haha still kinda itchy from them today!
