So whats the story. They can't be bought cuz the Forest Service is on Furlough. Are the areas being plowed? are they useable? I assume if you park there w/o a pass you won't get ticketed??mm (I went up on Thursday. the huge Stampede Pass area was open & plowed. I parked at Gold Creek and not much happened re: ticketing)

The Sno-Park program is a state program it is unaffected by the federal shenanigans. Plowing, grooming and enforcement continues unchanged. I've been ticketed at the Cabin Creek sno-park by a Kittitas County Sheriff when I left my sno-park in the other car and parked anyway. https://parks.state.wa.us/452/Non-Motorized-Sno-Parks You may buy a pass online or at places like REI https://fortress.wa.gov/parks/ecomm/prod/Store/SNO/SnoChoice.aspx

I bought one online today with no issue. Saw someone ticketing and patrolling Gold Creek today, unfortunately only for parking and not the multitude of other sins on display.

Sorry to hear that. Meanwhile the snowshoers who left boot prints all over the skate lane and then stomped down the tracks going up Amabilis got by with a Discover Pass Saturday.
