They used bear spray on the bear and also got themselves. http://www.spokesman.com/stories/2018/oct/15/man-survives-grizzly-bear-attack-in-montana-wilder/

What's especially fun about sock puppets is that you can make each one unique and individual, so that they each have special characters. And they don't have to be human末animals and aliens are great possibilities

Greg Gibson, the guide in Montana Guide Service video, was the hunting partner of Bob Legasa. The video was filmed by Bob Legasa. It is probably the single best video I've seen showing how to effectively use bear spray.

Nice video. Greg and Bob look and sound like real pros, and when the time came to prove it, they did, even if in the "fog of war" they sprayed themselves. It pays to have a good partner.

I guess you either hope that its just one attack that occurs or you carry multiple cans. You hear of people going into the Bob Marshall Wilderness area and having multiple encounters. At least the grizzly bears are all good and protected by the ESA.

Now you have me envisioning folks wearing bandoliers with multiple cans of bear spray attached. The grizzlies also will stay behind park boundaries. clown.gif

when I'm out hiking solo or in Griz territory, I have the safety off and the spray in front. Haven't had to use it yet. Hope I can do as well as Gibson. Remarkable story
