I don't want to say where this is; except to say that it is just off a popular hiking trail off Hwy 2. I stumbled across it about 20 years ago. Someone must be looking after it: As it is alway clean. The tombstone is facing north.

He was a volunteer in the Skykomish RD who would teach others trail maintenance techniques.

Should add to previous post. Back in the late 80's early 90's David met and married a backcountry ranger, both in their 50's. He would train volunteers in trail maintenance. Unable to remember her name. Older lady, earth mother type. Nice couple.
