We were looking for a training trail for an upcoming trip, no snow or ice some distance and elevation. Settled on the good old TMT as it was in our backyard and looked snowfree from back yard.
Dropped on car at the Highpoint Trailhead and drove other nearly to Hobart on Tiger Mountain Road. Chose the South Peak Traverse Trail for some extra elevation and views weather was cool and visibility good. Met the YTMT a couple miles in.
Went up to Middle Tiger but did not summit. Narrow nasty traverse around Middle Tiger trees filling in. Ate lunch at Denny’s bulge. Next followed TMT above Many Creeks Valley with endless ridges. A steep, climb followed until emerging on WT2 where old Seattle view trail came out. You can see Seattle now! Climbed up to WT3 and had second lunch including a shot of Fireball. Took WT3 down to parking lot and car.
Stats 14+ mi. +3000’ gain 7 hr great hike for a dumpster dive.
