The Peek-A-Boo hike is now a 5.5 mile hike and I did it in 3 hours (one way). There is a pull out just before the road closed sign is at so it will be easy to stop and turn around and park. (Note: there look like a washout down the road, but someone fixed that one) The stream crossing is just a rock hop and the other side is a narrow pathway. The road is a brushy walk to the trailhead parking lot. Then it is a nice trail for the most part. There is a little washout and log pieces to walk around near the start. The trail climbs up then levels out into a marsh then it goes straight down about 400 feet in an old-Mailbox-fishermans kind of fashion. It is a fun little hike that climbs about 2700 feet with a few camp spots.

I was up there a couple years ago. Amazing how fast the wilderness takes over when use stops.

I love that trail. The old growth foerst is sweet. Make you wonder how a logger can log after experiencing something like that. I thought of that when JimK told about the logging the adjacent land. I was happy to hear about the road repair but didn't get up there this year. I should go next year; the road washes out every other year, seems like. Last time I was up there, I told my friends to please shut UP. I was listening to some really sweet birds. They didn't shut up though. I need new friends. Friends that will shut UP when I say so.
