Wanted to get outside for Christmas day, so I headed to the Denny Creek trail for some snowshoeing and an attempt at climbing Low Mountain.
The trail was well covered in snow once leaving FR 5800 and once off the main road there was some excellent solitude to be had. I had to break most of the trail past the Denny creek trail head as there was little evidence of anyone else pushing past the parking lot.
I was able to make it most of the way up Low Mountain before a small storm system moved in and I decided to head back to my sister's house for a nice Christmas meal.

The day I did it, No. I have a fair amount of experience in this type of terrain though. If you plan on summiting Low Mountain be careful as there may be depending on snow load from the past week of weather. Caution is your friend in this kind of terrain. Always aim for fun, but coming home is the ultimate goal smile.gif
