This was one of those hikes in my books that I hadn't done yet as it didn't sound particularly exciting, but being late summer the desert wasn't quite pleasant enough yet for hiking so I opted to check this off the list. There was absolutely no water in the "creek", despite the book claiming that there was a good chance of seeing water, even in the summer. 
The book also didn't quite get it right w/the mileage, but oh well. It was a pleasant enough hike, though there was no exciting destination, just a rest under some larger trees @ one of the creek crossings.
