My son (11) and I are looking for a recipe for oatmeal/whey protein cookies that we can take backpacking.
This would be for the summer, near Olympia, WA, not too hot in the summer.
I found lots of oatmeal protein cookie recipes on the web, but I cannot tell if those would be good for summer backpacking.
I need something that is easy to make (busy single dad here), will not melt if it is 85F outside, can last for 2 weeks with no fridge, and can provide protein and fiber and calories (mostly fat, some sugar ok).
Thanks.
best,
Mac

Yes, I looked at the web using duckduckgo.
I know that there are hundreds of recipes for "backpacking" cookies.
I posted a question here because I was looking for something particular:
- oatmeal
- whey powder
Maybe someone here has a recipe along those lines.
Thanks.
