I just noticed a trip report on WTA for MLH (Deer Creek) area. A hiker heading to Big Four Ice Caves was going to park at the Deer Creek gate. However there was a vehicle ahead of him already parked with the window smashed. frown.gif So he opted out. Here's the report. The MLH is getting to be such a gamble. ~z P.S. Edit. Not trying to start a negative conversation here. Just consider this an alert to the wary. MLH has been problematic for years.

So some of these hoodlums are coming from the west side, and we (I) shouldn't assume they're coming over from Darrington (e.g. past vandalism at Barlow Pass, etc). BTW - check out a few of the other illustrated trip reports on that page and the previous...people climbing up on new avy falls, going in the caves, and according to one trip reporter, actually sledding down the the side. No one can say the FS hasn't done their educational/warning due diligence. I only feel sorry for the SAR people who then have to take risks for these maroons* crazy.gif *Bugs
